This is, I assume, a fan made commercial this is an interesting combination of the legendary “Think Differnent” ad campaign and the more current style of iPod advertising. A number of reader reports and Google Groups message board posting indicates that CNBC’s is reporting that the iPhone will be released on the 20th of June. On the Money last night on CNBC, the telco Analyst said they had been given the confirmed date of the 20th.

It looks like someone at Apple has started more extensively testing the Apple iPhone across web sites, including MacRumors.com.One reader tipped us off that they had come across iPhone browser identification strings in the Apache logs of their eBay images. After this tip, we were able to confirm similar findings in our own logs.

Since the iPhone’s introduction in January, the requests and baiting rumors for a touch-screen iPod that looks and acts like an iPhone – sans the actual phone – have sounded from every corner of the web. The only problem is: there’s no way in Cupertino that’s going to happen. At least, not anytime soon.

Today, much of the tech press is interested in speculating on the iPhone’s data plan. Here’s something new to add to the conversation. Last week, when a Cingular business sales rep told me that the date for release was June 11th, she also told me that the data plan would be $30 bucks.
