Gmail Going Huge: 9000MB+
Reports we’re getting in the mail say that some Gmail users have seen their storage bumped to over 9GB today - 9030MB, to be exact. If not a glitch (and why would it be?), it means Google is playing catch-up with Yahoo, which now provides unlimited storage. With no other info, we can only assume the accounts are currently being selected at random.[...] Thanks to Z_Man for providing this nice story on Digg.

feelinduggdown: Has this happened to anyone? The other day I checked my gmail accounts all 4 of them. Don’t ask why I have 4. Anyway in one was 8,987 emails in my spam box. It was basically every spam I ever deleted since first getting the account. I know it was a glitch but it just shows that Google does not delete anything. Its always there somewhere. It was strange because it happened in another Gmail account about 2 months ago where I had 2,354 emails in a spam box that were all deleted since I first opened the account. Strange! It makes you wonder just what Google is doing with all that info. They can catch alot of spam so I wonder why they just can’t filter it out so I never see it…………….Weird!

hanis21: well its a pitty that we cant send large files. so unless your getting spammed fifty thousand times a day by constant viagra emails with super high resolution attachment pictures which consist of penis’ then i hardly think its going to be THAT useful (however if ur a really busy person i see the point).BUT…. 9 gigs. unless google allows people to send large files..like hypothetically allowing 700 mb files might be good *wink wink*
the question is will p2p die as a result of googles increase in space?
