Apple has posted iPhone Update 1.0.2. Available via iTunes.[...] Thanks to normalkid for providing this nice story on Digg (more than 956Diggs).
What other users say about this:
Girrelephants: Yea, check this one out.
http://digg.com/apple/Apple_releases_secret_iPhone …
I don’t even have AT&T anymore, I cancelled phone service on my iPhone until my verizon contract is over. I think this OTA update is Wi-Fi connections only.
azjuno: he must be from redmond
naio: Crapple is a shitty company.
BlueMeanie: Is there a list of what bugs were fixed somewhere online? I didn’t see any info at Apple.com. I don’t have an iPhone but we’ve been doing development for it and reported a bug with the media player to Apple, it’d be great if they fixed it.
harrydfoster: Any improvements could be due to the “placebo effect”. Nonetheless, I pushed update. . . .
tresthomas: has the calendar function changed? it seems like the list display now layers appointments. or maybe i just didn’t notice before.
MCarela: BREAKING NEWS:
No one cares if you don’t like Apple.
blkpoetx: ******** I figured out part of the update……… YOUTUBE…. with the new update you can now watch videos that you couldn’t using the YOUTUBE icon before…. before you could only view the really popular youtube videos…i did a test and sent myself a video from the YOUTUBE to my iphone.. and EUREKA it worked, tried 5 random videos and they all worked…. ****

sidrajalil1132: iPhone is getting better and better. But what about those bugs, have apple removed those ?
tileeater: anyone notice how snappy the stocks widget seems to be with this update? that’s my joke… get it? because nobody uses the stocks widget…
BurtonRob40: New ringtone with this update? (Marimba 2)
DeepSkyDiver: I just don’t trust Apple stuff before the 1.03 updates..
chotty: Speaker volume while playing Voicemail is certainly, without a doubt much louder, clearer.
mrminty: WOW, SOMETHING ABOUT THE IPHONE? NO WAY! I JUST CAME!

Apple Insider confirms that T-Mobile Germany and Orange of France and 02 of the UK will have exclusive rights to the iPhone. The report was based on an article in the Financial Times, so we can be pretty sure of accuracy…[...] Thanks to msaleem for providing this nice story on Digg (more than 116Diggs).
What other users say about this:
viztag: Anybody expect the price to drop again before xmas?
RD
http://www.socialbuys.com
doctorsax: The FT article mentioned (why the hell should we have to click through TWICE to get there!?):
http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/17aa89d0-500b-11dc-a6b0-0000779fd2ac.html
mobilehavoc: Now what would be sweet is if AT&T iPhone users got a discounted rate when roaming on the EU iPhone selected networks. If that was true, I’d book the next flight to jolly-ole England.
neiltc13: Stupid bloggers again. This is yet another example of how we need proper journalists writing our news and not people who think that one paragraph constitutes a news story.
The article was written and confirmed by The Financial Times, not AppleInsider.
inghamb87: oh well that means I’m out then! I’m on stupid orange

Smile! As Street View fever sweeps the nation, even the rich can no longer keep their privacy private. We’re looking forward to the day we can watch ourselves live blogging on Google Earth.[...] Thanks to rmw132 for providing this nice story on Digg (more than 1373Diggs).
What other users say about this:
BLACKEAGLE: thats weak
nlevy: Where is his mailbox?
macpro2006: uhh… hurd about this when Street View came out
mgill3: Of course Steve Jobs knows to drive a Mercedes, smart man. I drive an S320 myself. There’s nothing wrong with a picture like this, it’s completely public… anybody could drive by and have a look.
UncleAndrew: how do they get views like that?
Mapper99: This huge gallery has just been updated with the latest and greatest Google Street View sightings. Vote on which ones are the best and leave comments just like Digg:
http://streetviewgallery.corank.com
Sosumii: Dugg for the Mercedes SL65
LeeVal: Google has deliberately took this picture. since its the only one for miles.
ChristianMagic: We’re watching you Steve.
toetagger: That’s his maids quarters and car, you kidding me?
DaffyDuck: Well, you can’t really see a lot of it from that view but it appears relatively modest for a man of his means.
drewfer: The iHome
varble: wait a sec, is that a trailer park across the street? I think I see a geo metro.
bharbhar: rock on california
leerayIG88: I live next to his house. It’s true, I know. Jobs and I are friends. He likes to be called stewie.

When it comes to DRM free music — that is, music not encumbered by copyright restrictions[...] Thanks to maheshee11 for providing this nice story on Digg (more than 82Diggs).
What other users say about this:
verge: Very good read. As good was “Dot Bombs of Today” which I’d not read until now. Execs are prolly having sleepless nights right now. And they’ll continue to until such time as they get it right. Nice, maheshee.

Geohot and his crew of trusty fiddlers have apparently found a solution for sorting the iPhone for worldwide consumption by hardware unlocking the beast. We’ve seen a video, and know he’s been well involved with iPhone shenanigans since day one, but until we see it in our hand color us excited but not sold.[...] Thanks to obeezy for providing this nice story on Digg (more than 44Diggs).
What other users say about this:
mobilehavoc: My favorite part from the original blog post that people keep skipping:
“The current method involves taking apart your phone and doing some complicated soldering, with a high probablity of a bricked phone.”
greerso: watch closely as he puts the sim card on the table, thats all I’m saying.
swimzach_2009: Still sucks you can’t get any kind of AppleCare assistance without having a contract with ATT.
