iPod Touch Dev Team has discovered the old malformed TIFF exploit in iPhone 1.0.2 and 1.1.1 to crash. This also applies to iPod Touch 1.1 and 1.1.1. It
’s all about crafted TIFF file which will cause buffer overflow. The hackint0sh people said it was used to crack the PSP firmware, but not sure whether it will help to jailbreak….

Report: 10 percent of September iPhones sold to unlocking teams

Analysts for investment bank Piper Jaffray recently spent more time tracking unit sales at Apple Inc.’s retail stores and reported Thursday that their observations indicate that as many as 10 percent of the iPhones sold by the stores during the month of September were being purchased with the intention to be resold unlocked.

Apple Seeds ZFS Read/Write Developer Preview 1.1 for Leopard

Apple has seeded version 1.1 of ZFS for Mac OS X to Developers this week. The preview updates a previous build released on June 26, 2007.
