Wi-Fire USB antenna promises access up to 1,000 feet

bizzydigginhField Technologies has introduced the Wi-Fire, a Mac-compatible USB-based Wi-Fi antenna that purports to have considerably longer range than Apple’s built-in networking capabilities. It costs $79.[…] Thanks to bizzydiggin for providing this nice story on Digg (more than 36Diggs).

What other users say about this:

AdmiralKarelia: I beta tested this device, actually. Definitely a good product, and a good option to consider if your laptop doesn’t have a pre-existing Wi-Fi card, as the Wi-Fire is a stand-alone device, not reliant on your existing card.
