What a tease. The ifixit tear down we’ve all been waiting for on the iPod touch fails to point out which chip is providing the WiFi. After all, both Broadcom, Marvell, and CSR offer single-chip solutions with combined WiFi and Bluetooth radios. Hell, they’ll even integrate an FM radio if you ask real nice. Ah well, perhaps those of you with more…[…] Thanks to macbot for providing this nice story on Digg.
What other users say about this:
Gabberwok: It’s an f—ing software diagnostic, they didn’t bother changing it from the iPhone to the iTouch. Stop spreading rumors. Buried.
airwalkery2k: I’ll bet that diagnostic tool was just made for the iPhone and is used for the iPod touch too. I can’t see a reason for Apple hiding such a large feature like that.
Lenny: No it doesn’t. There’s no god damn bluetooth.
